Offered For sale is excellent -  Early  post WWII Belgian Browning Hi-POWER pistol - caliber 9mm Luger.  Based on serial numbers and parts markings this particular example was manufactured  in 1955 by Fabrique Nationale – Herstal Belgium, very first batch of pistols produced after post war production resumed in FN First pistols that were manufactured by FN after war were mainly issued to Police and Border patrols, so they can safely control peoples migration after WWII , some also went to commercial Market, but were available only for elites at that time.

Example offered for sale do not have any Police or unit markings. It also does not have any import or export stamps. Only commercial Belgian proofs, indicating most likely private purchase, and since this pistol was brought to US around same time, it would indicate that it was purchased by US Army Soldier or other military or government personnel that was deployed to Europe right after WWII. Back then those pistols were not available to purchase on US market.

As you can see Finish on that piece is 100%.  Gun appears to be hardly ever fired or carried  ………….. Bore is excellent 10/10 , - pistol is very tight and sound …………………. Original grips also in very good shape – shows minimal wear  ……………….
